Heavy Refuge - Life of Dust | CD
Album description: The Life of Dust is a collection of songs that were intended for a sleepover show in Denton, TX on leap year of 2020, then sat with me through all of quarantine and beyond. They absorbed the fallouts of love, gave me a place to process the death of my father and ultimately gave my grief an outlet and a purpose. When I listen to these large monolithic passages, I feel a sonic exorcism of sadness. It's a wild time capsule to reflect on, an ode to how important self expression and creativity can be when it comes to coping with life's hardest moments.
Music by Kent Evans
Recorded and mixed by Alex Bhore
Mastered by Matthew David
Cover and Bandcamp art by CINEMA
Physical copies provided by Patrick Michot of Memory Terminal

Heavy Refuge is the solo work of Kent Evans. Drawing from experimental roots in Dallas spaces, he blends synths, drum machines and samples to manage tension, release and emotion throughout songs often aimed into the dark. Kent also writes/plays with Only Ever, and plays with Nicole Marxen's live band.
